How do I apply?
Thank you for considering Pearson Institute for your studies.
You can apply online at https://pihefutureleaders.co.za/ or visit any one of our campuses directly and speak to a Higher Education Consultant who will be able to give you more information, and also assist you with the application process.
What Does One Need to Bring to Apply

Our application fee is R300.00.

32 Credits towards a PIHE IS Higher Certificate bearing the module (2019).

Is the module offered on multiple schedules?

Yes, Full-Time and Part-Time.

What is the duration per schedule?

Duration of 60 working days Full-Time (60/5/4 = 3 Months) - 5 days a week.

Duration of 60 working days Part-Time (60/2/4 = 7.5 Months) - 2 days a week.

Can I finish earlier than 3 months?

Student progress is self-paced and assessments are written when you are ready therefore, it is possible for a student to complete sooner.

What will I receive upon completion of the module?

The student will receive a modular certificate for C# Programming upon completion of the module and passing of all assessments.

How many units does the module consist of and what are they?

1 - An Introduction

2 - The C# Language

3 - Graphical User Interfaces

4 - Storing Data

5 - ASP.NET

6 - .NET Distributed Computing

What assessments and how many does the module consist off?

2 Projects, 6 Computer Based Assessments and 2 Practicals bringing the total to 10. The Computer-Based Assessments are positioned in each Unit.

What is the pass mark required to pass each assessment?

60%

I have no programming background, can I begin with the language?

It is recommended that a student without prior programming knowledge should enrol for Processing and Logic Concepts as well as Program Design before attempting the programming language.

How will I access my Study Material?

Content is delivered through the learner management system myLMS (internet connection required)

What are the Entrance Requirements

Entry requirements

You need a South African National Senior Certificate (NSC) with certificate or diploma entry or an equivalent foreign secondary qualification on an NSC level (NQF 4) confirmed by SAQA. Or

If you have an international school-leaving certificate, you need to provide a certificate of exemption issued by Universities South Africa (USAF).

If you have an international school-leaving certificate, you need to provide a certificate of exemption issued by Universities South Africa (USAF).

If students pass the module (A), they can apply for credits should they want to complete the larger qualification it forms part of. But as modules, it is for non-degree purposes and not credit-bearing.
