How do I apply?

You can apply online at https://www.online.pihe.ac.za/registrationapp/pihe or visit any one of our campuses directly and speak to a Higher Education Consultant who will be able to give you more information, and also assist you with the application process.
Fees Structure

When do classes start for the May Intake Programmes?
Classes will commence on 20 May 2019.
Is the Higher Certificate in Information Systems offered Part-time or Full- time?
Our Higher Certificate Programme is offered Part-time and Full time
Do you offer any Bursaries for the the May Intake Programmes?
Yes, we do have Bursaries available for the programmes offered for the May intake. Bursary application forms are available from the campuses and should be filled out completely before being submitted to the chosen campus with all supporting documents attached. Contact the campus directly and speak to a Higher Education Consultant who will assist you with further details and the application process.
What do I receive on completion of these programmes?
Students who successfully complete our Higher Certificate in Information Systems Programmes and our Bachelor of Business Administration degree graduate after completion and receive a certificate or degree respectively. Students who complete the short learning programme receive a certificate upon completion.
What are the areas of specialisation for the Higher Certificate in Information System programmes?

What are the Entrance Requirements

Higher Certificates in Information Systems (all specialisations)

You need to have obtained your National Senior Certificate with Higher Certificate Entry or an equivalent international school-leaving certificate on an NSC level(NQF 4), evaluated and confirmed by SAQA.

Or

If you have an international school-leaving certificate or a foreign secondary qualification, you need to provide a certificate of exemption issued by Universities South Africa (USAF).

Or

National Certificate (Vocational) level 4 issued by the Council of General and Further Education and Training.

And

Obtain the required results in the Placement Assessment.

Short Learning Programmes

You need a South African National Senior Certificate (NSC) for diploma or certificate purposes and placement assessment.

Or

If you have an international school-leaving certificate or a foreign secondary qualification, you need to provide a certificate of exemption issued by Universities South Africa (USAF).

And

Obtain the required results in the Placement Assessment. 

Bachelor of Business Administration

You need a South African National Senior Certificate (NSC) with Bachelor degree entry or an equivalent foreign secondary qualification on an NSC level with Bachelor degree entry approved by Universities South Africa (USAF).

Or

If you have an international school-leaving certificate, you need to provide a certificate of exemption issued by Universities South Africa (USAF).

Or

You should have successfully completed the relevant Pearson Institute foundation programme. On successful completion of the foundation programme, students are required to apply to Universities South Africa (USAF) for a certificate of exemption in order to be admitted to a degree programme.

Or

You should have successfully completed a relevant higher certificate qualification. On successful completion of the higher certificate, students are required to apply to Universities South Africa (USAF) for a certificate of exemption in order to be admitted to a degree programme.

And

You need 25 or more Pearson Institute points.
